Hello, Marian! I want to wish you a most happy birthday with good health and happiness throughout the coming year. Fay Nelson, whom you may remember, recently moved to Oberlin as did I two years ago. You and Michael came up in conversation as we were remembering various classmates. I told Fay that I remember sitting in your room in Burton, smoking Salem cigarettes, and reviewing notes from one of Richard Spear's classes. By the way, he and Athena were just in town for the dedication of a large work by Athena, which she has given to the college. Being back here is a curious mixture of old memories and new experiences set in a familiar framework; I'm quite happy. Anyway, again, I wish you a wonderful birthday!
