After completing our master's degrees in Spanish in Madison and Ann Arbor, respectively, Frances Boyd ('72) and I lived in Mexico for a year. We returned to the US in 1975 and have lived a few blocks from each other on the Upper West Side of Manhattan ever since. I completed my doctorate in adult learning in the1980s and started a consulting company specializing in leadership and communication in 1989. I worked frequently for foreign firms in Tokyo and met my husband Kozo Suzuki there in 1994. He joined me in New York in 1998, and we were married (legally!) in 2013. I conduct seminars internationally (now, on Zoom) for the United Nations and am an adjunct professor at Columbia University. I have stayed in touch with Oberlin friends Tony Trelles and Kris (Vikse) Trelles on my many trips to Minneapolis to see family there.
