I went to NYC a year after graduation (after living in DC for a year where I worked for the Movement of Economic Justice and had a homemade soup and sandwich service at Catholic Law School to raise money to go to NYC to study Eurythmics. I arrived in NYC with $300 in the bank and lived there for 16 years, accompanying dance classes and teaching at NYU Tisch in the Dance Dept as a musician. I got married and had a daughter and moved to Delray Beach for about 5 years, then to Columbus Ohio to OSU to get my one of a kind master's degree at the age of 45 and ended up teaching and playing as Musid Coordinator of the OSU Dance Dept for about 7 years. Then, I got divorced in 2005 and moved to Durham, NC with my daughter and went to massage school with her at the age of 55. Every summer since 1981 (until 2013) I was Music Coordinator of the American Dance Festival in Durham. So lucky to have found this corner of the world. Still teaching piano and accompanying dance.

I remember graduation weekend we at Keep Coop made up a scavenger hunt that said things like How many trees are in Tappen Square? I was going through an old box and discovered a draft of the tasks. Does anyone else remember if we really did this or not? Too many other memories to list here, including my Junior Year when I went in the back of a UHAUL to hike the Smokie Mountains during Fall Break. Never imagined then I would be living in NC! I remember meeting a couple on the trail who were hiking the entire trail. When I found out they were 40 years old, I could not believe it. Now 40 years old seems like a reasonable age to hike the trail! It's all perspective.
